Phase 3 Powersafe Sequential Mating Box
The Phase 3 PowerSafe sequential mating box is fast becoming the industry standard in generator and high-current connections. The unit is available in Source or Drain versions rated at 800 Amps to be compatible with all Phase 3 500 and 800 Amp connectors as well as Veam 400 and 660 Amp connectors. The sequence of connection and disconnection is controlled to ensure safety circuits are connected first and disconnected last.

The PowerSafe box can be panel-mounted, providing the most cost-effective solution, or brought out to an external or safe position. Large power connections can be catered for by stacking the units allowing for even the largest of low-voltage supplies to be connected in a safe way.
Advantages of PowerSafe Box
Safe Connections The three phases, neutral and earth connections cannot be made in the wrong order due to the sequential mating mechanism at the heart of the PowerSafe Box.
Individual connectors are mounted in a single IP67 (when mated) enclosure. There is no need to fabricate holes for five individual connectors and their associated fasteners.
Some electrical regulations required hardware to be made of non-conducting materials. The PowerSafe Box is insulated, giving greater freedom in fastener specification.
A special locking key is required to plug or unplug all connectors so only authorised persons in possession of the key can connect and disconnect the PowerSafe Box.
A remote control function can be configured via the rear-mounted connector to disconnect the power should someone try to unlock the box.
Rugged & Waterproof
Flip-up protective covers are built in and form part of the mating dequence giving IP65 protection to the unmated box. When the connectors are installed the box is rated IP67.
The Phase 3 PowerSafe Box complies with AS/NZS 3000:2007 wiring standards.
